A meeting was arranged for the four of us to meet Indira Gandhi where we were able to tell her about our mission to start an ashram in India. Little did we know then how destiny would shape events in the years to come.
The media took an interest in our presence in India. The article in The Hindustan Times reads:
``Three Canadian girls, spiritually more Indian than most Indians, and yet not
waiting for a miracle to happen, have come here to found an ashram somewhere in
the mountains with the Ganga flowing by.``
After the media coverage, we received several
offers from people interested in helping us establish our dream in India. We needed time to think the offers over. We were encouraged by the response we
received.
By summer, we returned to Toronto where we continued our spiritual
journey, enriched by our adventures and determined then to pursue our goals
further.
